Sprintown is a collaborative platform where people publicly build startup ideas, run time-based sprints, contribute skills, and document progress.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to your use of the Sprintown website, applications, and related services.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — email address, username, and password (passwords are stored as cryptographic hashes, never in plain text)
• Profile data — bio, avatar, cover image, links, and domains of interest you choose to add
• Usage data — sprints you create or join, believers, contributions, tasks, and interactions on the Platform
• Communications — direct messages, community posts, comments, and other content you submit

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Platform
• Authenticate users and secure accounts
• Send notifications about sprints, messages, and activity relevant to you
• Detect, prevent, and respond to spam, fraud, and abuse

We do not sell your personal data.

Some information on Sprintown is public by design. The following is visible to other users and visitors:

• Your username and public profile
• Sprints, posts, and comments you publish
• Believer activity and contributions

We share data with third-party service providers only as needed to operate the Platform:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and backend infrastructure
• Google — OAuth login when you choose to sign in with Google
• Our hosting provider — to serve the website and applications

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the safety and rights of users.

Your data is stored on Supabase. Information is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

We follow standard industry practices to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Delete your account and associated personal data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Contact us with any privacy-related request

We use cookies and similar technologies strictly to keep you signed in and to maintain your session.

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Sprintown is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us at hello@sprintown.com and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify users through the Platform, by email, or by updating the effective date above.

Continued use of Sprintown after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
